How it started
Neil Lock started Zinn Hub together with Natalie Lock and is its chief executive. He is also the developer who built the platform. Neil has been building software, search and hosting for more than 25 years.
Why it exists
Zinn Hub exists to make freelancing fairer on both sides of an order. Sellers start at 0% commission and can grow a brand of their own, while buyers get vetted sellers and real guidance from a team that answers.
What he built
He built the whole platform to work in 46 languages: listings, briefs, messages and reviews are translated both ways, and live calls are carried by captions or a spoken translated voice. Money reaches sellers instantly via their own Stripe or PayPal, with six payout methods in all, including crypto. Sellers are vetted and KYC-verified, and payments made on the platform are protected by escrow. Buyers can post a project and let sellers pitch, or book a free Zinn® Concierge call in which Neil scopes the work with them and finds the right seller.
Milestones
The platform earned two awards in 2026: UK Freelance Marketplace of the Year 2026 (365 Awards) and Best Multilingual Freelance Marketplace in the United Kingdom of 2026 (Best of Best Review).
