The nomination

EducateOS: the homepage
EducateOS is a K-12 learning platform built on open-source Cloudflare OS that runs entirely within a school district's own Cloudflare account. The platform serves kindergarten through grade 12 with one product that adapts to each grade band: early grades use voice and drawing, middle grades add primary source analysis with rubric feedback, and high school includes argument essays and official grades.
The platform includes 12 open-source semester-long courses with 270 activities, a gradebook where grades become official only when teachers approve them, a family view for guardians, and a district console for administrators. It features four AI tutors (Reading Buddy, Homework Helper, Study Coach, and Research & Essay Coach) that are screened by Hall Monitor before they see any student message, with spending capped by the district.
As Apache-2.0 open source, EducateOS has no paid tier and runs in each district's own account so no vendor sits between students and their work. Districts with existing LMS systems like Canvas or Moodle can keep them while using EducateOS alongside. The platform is in development with real student deployments not yet completed.

Questions
Does EducateOS replace existing school systems?
Districts with Canvas, Moodle or Google Classroom can keep them, and EducateOS works alongside. Schools without an LMS get one included at no extra cost. EducateOS also integrates with student information systems through rosters and supports LTI 1.3, Canvas, Google Classroom, Clever, and OneRoster.
Where is student data stored?
All student data stays in the district's own Cloudflare account. EducateOS is open source and installs into the district's account so no vendor sits between students and their work. The district owns the system and the data.
What courses are available?
Twelve semester-long courses are published as signed Open Course Specification packages across four grade bands: three courses per grade band covering K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Together they include 73 units and 270 activities, with 146 teacher guides and answer keys.
Is EducateOS currently being used by real students?
No. EducateOS is in development and no real students use it yet. The demo shows fictional districts and synthetic student accounts. The live demo district runs the same code as would be deployed to districts.
