Your launch, step by step: a playbook from Best Biz Launch
Launching takes more than pressing publish. Best Biz Launch has put the steps founders ask about in one place.
Before you launch
1. Make the listing complete
A full page answers questions before anyone has to ask them. Add your tagline, description and FAQs, and finish your founder profile so visitors can see who built it.
2. Get the images ready
Use a sharp logo and a few screenshots of the real product. A short demo video helps people understand it in seconds.
3. Pick a week you can be there
Choose a week you can give some attention to. Replies and follow-ups on the first days make the difference.
4. Line up your announcement
Tell your users, friends and colleagues when you launch, and write your launch posts in advance so the day itself is calm.
On the day itself
5. Post it everywhere you are
Share your launch where your followers already are. Pin the post, and update your bio link to the listing for the week.
6. Announce it by email
A personal email to your users on launch day works well. Keep it short, include the link and add it to your welcome email for the week.
7. Post where it fits
Share in groups where your product is on topic and promotion is allowed by the rules. A Show HN post should link to something people can try.
8. Answer each question
Keep an eye on comments all day and answer each one. Feedback you get now is useful for the next update.
Invite people to have a look and decide for themselves. One person, one vote: votes can never be bought, and extra accounts or vote trading are not allowed.
During launch week
9. Edit as you learn
Keep editing through the week. A new FAQ for each repeated question and up-to-date screenshots keep the page useful.
10. Use the badge
Put the badge on your homepage or footer. It is a simple way to send visitors to your listing.
11. List in other launch directories
Choose a handful of directories that suit your product, rather than all of them. The list below is a good place to start.
12. Post again with something new
Repost on LinkedIn later in the week with a fresh angle, such as a question people asked or a fix you shipped.
Afterwards
13. See what worked
Your analytics tell you what worked. Tag each shared link so you can see which post, community or directory people came from.
14. Revisit the page
Keep the listing accurate over time. Fresh screenshots and current pricing help anyone who finds it later.
15. Launch the next version
When you ship something substantial, relaunch. New features and milestones are good reasons to tell people again.
Choosing launch directories
Best Launch Directories gathers launch directories, startup directories and AI tool lists in one place, with Domain Rating, pricing and link type for each.

Questions
- What should I do after launch week?
- Review what worked, keep your page accurate, and relaunch when you have a new version or a milestone.
- When should I tell people about my launch?
- Share on the day your listing goes live, then post again during launch week with something new. Be around to reply on the first day.

- Several directories can make sense, as long as each one fits your product. Look at price, link type and the kind of listings each one has.
- Can I ask people to vote for my launch?
- Invite people to look and vote if they like it. Votes can never be bought, and using extra accounts or vote-trading groups is not allowed.
