How does the Product review affect my ranking?
The Product review is a paid long-form commissioned review with its own page. It never influences votes, ratings or leaderboards.

What you get
The Product review ($19) is a standalone long-form assessment of your product. We publish it on its own page at /launch/<listing>/product-review, and a short extract appears on your listing page marked 'Commissioned by the maker'. Your listing's reviews section also shows its summary and key takeaways.
How we write it
Once you pay, we visit your public website afresh—your home page, about, pricing, features, FAQ and documentation if they exist—and write the review from those pages and your listing only. We invent nothing. Where your pages omit something buyers need to know, we say so plainly. The review is honest, not promotional: it covers both strengths and limitations.
You cannot edit it.
What it does not do
The Product review is never counted in votes, ratings or rankings. It adds no vote to any leaderboard. Best Biz Launch rankings come from votes alone (or, on the billboard, from money contributed), never from reviews. Community reviews—written by other founders—are displayed separately.
If your website is unreachable
If your site is down or blocks visitors, we try again several times. If it remains unreadable, we hold the review for our team to assess. If they write it from your listing alone, the review states this plainly.
How to order
Add it on the plan step when selecting a paid launch, or upgrade an existing listing: sign in, go to /account/listings, select 'Upgrades and extras' next to your listing and choose the Product review. Check /pricing for the current cost.
You can read every Product review on Best Biz Launch together at /reviews; the "Review roll" footer link appears once there is one.
Questions people ask
- Will the Product review change my position on the leaderboard?
- No. The review is never counted in rankings. Best Biz Launch rankings are driven by votes and money, never by reviews of any kind.
- Can I edit or remove the Product review once it is published?
- No. You cannot edit it. The review is commissioned by you and written from your public website.
- What happens if my website is down when you try to write it?
- We try again multiple times. If your site remains unreachable, we hold the review for our team to review instead of publishing it incomplete.
