What is self-reported revenue?
Revenue you report yourself, for one calendar month, in US dollars - labelled as such wherever it shows.
Updated
Self-reported revenue
Your company can show what it earned in a month - one figure, in US dollars. Owners and managers of a listing can enter the figure. We show the figure exactly as reported, marked self-reported. Leaving it out is fine.
Adding your figure
The form lives at /account/revenue (sign in first). Choose the company's card, enter one month's revenue and its month, and submit.
Rules for the figure
Only the current month or an earlier one, up to two years back, can be reported. The proof link is not displayed anywhere public. Enter a positive amount. Use a public https:// address for the proof link, if you add one.
What visitors see
No figure appears without its label, month and reporting date. If your company is listed on other sites too, they show the same figure. The figure appears on your listing and on the revenue leaderboard.
Separate tables
On /leaderboards/revenue, self-reported figures have a table of their own, apart from verified ones. The verified option is live: details are in the section below. The figure is not a vote and is never mixed with paid placement.
Updates
Report a new month or amount at /account/revenue whenever you like. Past figures remain in the listing's history.
Verified figures
Verified revenue is set up from /account/revenue/verified once you are signed in, by the listing's owner or a manager. We take the figure from your payment account, or check it against a statement. A Stripe restricted key with read access, or a Paddle key with read access, lets us read your revenue for each finished month. Other providers (PayPal, Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad and the rest) work by statement: upload it, and a member of our team checks it before anything is shown.
We match the connected account to your listing automatically: Stripe by its display name or card statement text, Paddle by its approved checkout domain. No match means a member of our team checks it before it shows, and you hear back either way.
We add up your verified sources for the last finished month and show that one total, marked verified, with the sources listed beneath it and the last-checked date. Your listing shows it rather than the self-reported figure, and /leaderboards/revenue lists it in the verified table. If your account takes another currency, the month's figure is converted to US dollars at the official ECB average rate for that month, with a note saying which currency it came from.
Keys are stored encrypted and only their last four characters are ever shown again; a Stripe key that could change anything or read your customers is refused (for Paddle, tick only the Read boxes). Connected accounts are read again about once a day. Disconnect a source at /account/revenue/verified at any time and its figure is no longer shown (delete the key in Stripe or Paddle as well).
